Pick the question behind the zone

Use Time Zone Converter to translate a scheduled local time, Time Difference to compare offsets, and Meeting Time Planner or Business Hours Overlap to find workable collaboration windows. UTC Offset and DST Change are better for explaining offset changes. Date Rollover helps when a meeting crosses midnight; Week Number and Date Calculator help inspect the resulting local date. For example, 09:00 in New York and 14:00 in London may share a clock hour relationship only on dates where their seasonal offsets align.

Check date, DST, and display context

Time-zone answers depend on the selected date because daylight-saving transitions can change an offset. Record both locations, the date, the displayed local times, and whether a date rollover occurs. World Clock shows a selected snapshot; it is not a live continuously updating clock. If a meeting spans a DST change, test the actual meeting date rather than copying an offset from another month, and share the local date along with the time.

Keep duration questions separate

The Time Duration calculator uses the local date and time entered; it is not timezone-aware. Do not use it alone to infer travel elapsed time or the duration between two offices in different zones. Convert each endpoint first, or use a timezone-specific tool, then verify the result against the calendar. These calculators support coordination and explanation, not guarantees about attendance, availability, or a company’s official working hours. For recurring meetings, save the named locations rather than only the current numeric offset. A New York–London meeting that works in winter may shift by an hour during the weeks when daylight-saving changes occur on different dates, so recheck seasonal schedules. A converted time is a coordination aid, not evidence that either participant is available. Confirm local working hours, date labels, and any organization-specific blackout periods before publishing an invitation or calculating an overlap. Share both local dates with the converted times so tomorrow in one office is not mistaken for today in another.
